MINUTES OF FRAMPTON PARISH COUNCIL EXTRA-ORDINARY MEETING HELD ON 31ST JAN 2024 AT 1900 AT HUBBERTS BRIDGE COMMUNITY CENTRE
Present: Cllrs Ashton (Chairman), Cllr Fowler, Cllr Hildred, Cllr Tennent, Cllr Hladun
Absent: Cllr Burton (Vice-chair), Cllr Pryke, Cllr Clare, Cllr Balgarnie
In attendance: Max Barlow (Clerk & Responsible Finance Officer)
- Pre-meeting - 10-minute allocation for the Police and Public to speak:
82. Setting of Budget 24/25 (Agenda item 1 31.01.24)
The proposed budget was shared with the council, and explained by the chairman. All present agreed that the budget was okay, and agreed to adopt it for financial year 24/25.
83. Setting of Precept 24/25 (Agenda item 2 31.01.24)
The Chair explained that with the rising budget costs, new financial grant scheme for the electricity costs of the village halls, and the large amount of houses to be built in Frampton in the near future, a raise in precept should happen, with a raise not happening for a number of years.
It was proposed the precept be raised by £2000 from £22,880.10 to £24,880.10 to help finance these rising costs. All present agreed, and it was signed and dated.
