FRAMPTON PARISH CO-OPTION VACANCY

APPLICATIONS OPEN 20/07/26 – 11/08/2026

Frampton Parish Council have a co-option vacancy for a councillor, the council works to represent and support the local community and meet every third Thursday of the month except in August and December. We welcome anyone passionate about contributing to village life to apply.

To be a Frampton Parish Councillor you must be able to answer "yes" to at least one of the questions below:

a) Are you on the electoral register for Frampton Parish Council? 

b) Have you lived either in parish of Frampton or within 3 miles of its boundary, for at least a year?

c) Have you been the owner or tenant of land in Frampton parish for at least a year?

d) Have you had your only or main place of work in parish of Frampton for at least a year?

You must also be able to answer "no" to all of the questions below:

i) Are you the subject of a bankruptcy restrictions order or interim order?

ii) Have you within the last five years been convicted of an offence in the UK, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man and has been sentenced (whether suspended or not) to imprisonment for three months or more without the option of a fine?

iii) Are you disqualified by order of a court from being a member of a local authority?

iv) Employed by Frampton Parish Council, a joint committee or holds a paid office?

v) Subject to the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences act 2003 or Sexual Risk Orders?

Once you have emailed your interest to the clerk, you will be sent an application form. This form will be confidential and only shared with the current parish councillors, you will then be invited to the meeting in Frampton Village Hall on September 17th 2026 at 19:30pm. At which you will have the chance to speak to the council and may be asked some questions prior to the council voting for the successful candidate.
